JOHN Noble

On the 23rd of January 2008 our boss, colleague and friend Watch Manager John Noble was tragically killed when the fire appliance he was travelling in was involved in a road traffic collision. The crew were responding to an emergency call at a local school.

John was a highy regarded, dedicated and popular watch manager with over 23 years experience in the Fire Service, he had travelled as far as Texas, U.S.A to attend Urban Search and Rescue training and Russia to train firefighters in Road Traffic Collision Extrication.

John was just 46 years old at the time and left behind a wife and two children. The other members of the crew, including team member Allan Huntly, suffered extensive injuries in the accident with differing levels of care required.

We feel a fitting tribute to Johnny is to dedicate this race to his memory and for us to raise much needed funds for firefighters across the UK who may need the charities help.

Help us help our heroes. Attend Team Noble events, promote our challenge or help us with those all important finances!
